Prattville Pride is a vibrant and inclusive organization dedicated to fostering love, acceptance, and diversity. Nestled in the heart of the River Region, we strive to create a safe space where everyone can be their most authentic selves. Founded in 2024, Prattville Pride is the first Pride Organization to be formed in Prattville, and we are honored to be making history, creating positive change, and moving The Fountain City forward!

Discover the heartwarming origins of Prattville Pride,

a beacon of unity and acceptance in the River Region.

It all began with Anna Evans, the passionate proprietor of Wolf and Mercantile, who sparked the idea to host a modest Pride picnic in June of 2023. With the unwavering support of her dear friends, Adam Hunt and Caryl Lawson, the event blossomed into a resounding success, drawing over 150 attendees. Little did they anticipate that their celebration of love and diversity would attract unwanted attention, as a national hate group attempted to disrupt the festivities. Despite the intimidation, their resolve only strengthened, leading to the formation of Prattville Pride in 2024 and the vision for Prattville's very first Pride Festival on June 23, 2024.

Our Inaugural Pride Fest was an overwhelming success, drawing an estimated 2,000-3,000 attendees! The incredible dedication and hard work of our small, grassroots team of volunteers made this event possible, and our efforts were recognized on a national level. Prattville Pride received widespread media attention, including being featured by Good Morning America and being honored with a GLAAD award for our commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy. The event featured vibrant entertainment, impactful outreach programs, and a joyous celebration of love and inclusion that left a lasting mark on our community.

Following the success of our inaugural Pride Fest, we faced new challenges with our participation in the city's Christmas parade. Despite resistance and obstacles, our team remained steadfast, filing for an injunction in Federal court and overcoming adversity to ensure our presence in the parade. This moment reinforced the importance of visibility and community solidarity, strengthening our mission for the future.

On February 1, 2025 we participated in the Mardi Gras parade sponsored by the City of Prattville and it was a wonderful success! The crowd was receptive and delighted by our exquisite and vibrant Drag Queen!

Now, as we excitedly prepare for our Second Annual Pride Fest, we are dedicated to making this years Pride even bigger and better! With our growing momentum, we are excited to bring an even more inclusive and dynamic celebration to Prattville, further cementing our commitment to creating welcoming and affirming spaces for all in Prattville and the River Region! Join us on this exhilarating journey as we champion diversity, embrace love in all its forms, and continue making an indelible impact on our community's collective spirit.
